I'm just amazed at how interested my son has become with cooking lately. I believe that he is more interested in cooking and baking than my daughter was at this age. My daughter loved baking but seemed less interested in cooking. Whereas, my son loves both. I maybe because my husband is the cook in the family. I really don't enjoy cooking but will bake anytime. Anyone else have chefs for husband?
I do believe that it is important for my daughter to learn how to cook so lately I have been teaching her the basics. I don't want her to be on her own one day and not even know how to boil an egg. She may starve if she lacked the cooking skills. LOL.
I don't know of any young child that doesn't take an interest in at least baking. Do you? I think the interest starts early when they first show interest in playing with the pots and pans instead of the expense toys.
